About Xenogenesis Concrete Radar Imaging

23+ years of concrete scanning expertise. Atlanta's high-rises to Jacksonville's growing market.

Roger Baldwin, Jacksonville Project Manager for Xenogenesis Concrete Radar Imaging

Meet the Technician

Roger Baldwin

When you call Xenogenesis in Jacksonville, I answer the phone. When I show up to your job site, I'm the one running the GPR equipment. There's no dispatcher, no call center, no rotating crew of subcontractors. It's me — and that's by design.

I started with Xenogenesis RADAR Imaging in Atlanta in 2002 when ground penetrating radar was still a novelty to most contractors. Over 20+ years, I helped build it into one of the Southeast's most experienced concrete scanning operations, completing thousands of projects.

In 2023, I moved to Jacksonville because this market was exactly where Atlanta was in 2002. Underserved. Contractors asking "Why do we need concrete scanning?" I know why — because I've seen what happens when you don't scan.

The Jacksonville Opportunity

Why I'm Here

Jacksonville is growing fast. New construction, renovations, infrastructure upgrades everywhere. But many contractors here still don't understand that one utility strike can cost more than an entire year of scanning services. I'm here to change that — just like I did in Atlanta.

As a subcontractor for Xenogenesis LLC in Alpharetta, Georgia, I maintain the same standards and expertise that made us Atlanta's go-to scanning company, but with the flexibility and responsiveness of a local operator who actually lives here.

That includes the same comprehensive insurance coverage — general liability, professional liability, and errors and omissions. Xenogenesis is insured at levels required for work on critical infrastructure including airports, nuclear facilities, and hospital systems. Every scan I perform in Jacksonville is backed by that coverage. Certificates of insurance and additional insured endorsements are available for any project that requires them.

Unlike national companies traveling from Tampa or Orlando and charging $500–$1,200 in travel fees, I'm based locally. Travel is included in your service fee within 30 miles of downtown. Same-day service. And when something urgent comes up, I can typically be on-site quickly because I'm already here — not three hours away.
